Nuts & Bolts Team
Head Coach - Courtney Baker is in her 2nd year with QV Youth Cheer and is returning as head coach for the Nuts & Bolts. Courtney has over 19 years of experience teaching both competitive gymnastics and All-Star cheerleading, as well as gymnastics and tumbling classes. Courtney is a USASF member, certified USASF Safety member and owner of Infinity All-Star Cheerleading. With her extensive cheerleading experience, Courtney is an asset to QV Youth Cheer.
Assistant Coach - Laura Cherock is in her 3rd year of coaching with QV Youth Cheer and is returning as assistant coach for the Nuts and Bolts. Laura’s passion for performance and instruction goes back to her experience during high school and college years as a member/instructor of several performance ensembles ranging from drumline, colorguard, rifle (the fake ones that you spin, not shoot), and dance. Professionally, Laura is an architectural engineer and owns an architecture and engineering firm alongside her husband. Now a mother of two QV cheerleaders, Laura is excited to share her passion and energy with the Nuts and Bolts cheerleaders this year!
Head Coach - Diana Weisser is in her 5th year with QV Youth Cheer and is returning as the head coach of the Termites. While coaching for QV, she has coordinated summer camps, choreographed routines, organized team building activities and trained student coaches. She is a qualified cheerleading coach, certified in CPR and First Aid, earned certification from Heads up Youth Sports through the Centers for Disease Control and certified in prevention and safety training for cheerleading from the American Cheerleading Coaching Association. Her passion for cheer goes beyond the routines, seeing cheer as an opportunity to build life lessons, teamwork, perseverance, attitude and self-confidence into those she coaches. Professionally, Diana is an RN of 15 years and brings her background of health and fitness to the cheer program by creating an element of cardiovascular exercise, toning and flexibility into each practice.
Amanda is in her 3rd year of coaching with QV Youth Cheer and is an assistant coach for the Termites. She has a background in high school cheerleading and competitive dance. Amanda is married and a mom of three; Natalia, Natasha and Ryan. She enjoys wedding and event planning; helping big day dreams come true. One of her favorite parts about coaching, their faces after they achieve their goal, it's priceless.
Assistant Coach - Christy Semple is in her 3rd year of coaching with QV Youth Cheer and is an assistant coach for the Midgets. She has a background in working with child as the director of Youth Church and as a dance and movement teacher. Christy has a passion for inspiring students to express joy and school spirit and loves to see them develop confidence and coordination while cultivating teamwork and discipline. Christy is married and mother to Rosalie Semple. She enjoyed the experiences of cheerleading and drill team in middle school and high school and has continued in personal ongoing dance and fitness programs as an adult.
